WHERE DID IT ALL BEGIN?
From humble beginnings.
When I think about my BIG WHY it boils down to helping others. Like most, much of this has to do with my parents. Spending most of my childhood and adolescence raised in and around the church fostered a sense of community and giving back at an early age.
As the youngest of four boys to immigrant parents, they’ve instilled the value of hard work in me. As a first generation Canadian I am grateful for their sacrifices. I also believe wholeheartedly in maintaining a work-life balance, being sure to enjoy life’s simple pleasures whenever possible.
It should come as no surprise that hockey is my first love. I enjoy the thrill of competition and the teamwork of sport. Being a sports and hobby enthusiast, I also enjoy golf, tennis, ping pong and fishing. This winter I finally learned how to snowboard and I have the broken bones to prove it.
Home is where the heart is and for me that’s Toronto. A self-proclaimed foodie and amateur chef, Toronto’s melting pot of cultures and cuisines has me slowly eating my way through the GTA to taste it all. It also inspires me to travel. My latest adventure took me on a family trip to Portugal and I hope to visit Spain next.
WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH BUYERS?
I learn so much about people when they are buyer clients, even friends I’ve known for decades. I wear many hats, but surprisingly enough the one I find myself wearing the most is that of a therapist. Couples may not see eye-to-eye or know exactly where or what they want to buy and often compromises have to be made. I act as a neutral party to make sure each person is heard throughout the process.
WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH SELLERS?
When I work with sellers I am highly organized, anticipatory and results-driven. I pride myself on being one step ahead in the sales timeline so there are no surprises or undue stress. It’s always a joint effort to create and execute a listing strategy so my seller clients can net top dollar in the shortest period of time.
IN THE END, THE CLIENT AND THE RELATIONSHIP ALWAYS COME FIRST
I love meeting new clients for the first time. It’s the one chance I have to just sit back and listen, to really delve into getting to know who they are and what their BIG WHY is for deciding to buy, sell or invest in real estate. I know that every client’s level of understanding about the real estate market is different, but I make it my goal that by the end of the journey they’ve learned things they can carry forward and will be savvy repeat buyers, sellers or investors.
The foundation of my referral-based business is built on honesty, integrity and hard work. Before embarking on my real estate path, I worked in pharmaceutical sales where building relationships, attention to detail, and marketing were paramount.
